 Pikey peak is located north eastern part of Nepal at the foothills of Himalayas in lower Everest region of Khumbu valley. By direct distance, It is just 250 km far from Kathmandu city, being the closest view point hill among all other green hills from the capital city, to witness a great view of Mt Everest, the highest peak in the world. In a clear day, one can see all the mountains from eastern Himalayas such as Mt Kanchenjunga and Makalu to the western Himalayas as far as Mount Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. Pikey peak is regarded as a guardian mother goddess of local Tribal people such as Magar, sherpa and Tamang. Some local sherpa people even regard Pikey peak as their clan deity and worship in July full moon.

      Situated at the Himalayan foothills of Everest region, it is one of the most popular short and sweet, off-the-beaten track, trekking routes that everybody has been hiking for last several years domestically and internationally as one of the most trending trekking routes of Nepal.

  Even sir Edmund Hillary has said that it is his favourite place to watch Mt Everest and Numbur Himal.There are several different routes and itineraries in order to start and end this trek. Whether you start your trekking from Phaplu  or Dhaap, even Bhandar to reach to the pikey peak, one will have to walk through many lush green forest of pine, Himalayan yew, Pinus yew, Pinus wallichia, alders and many different types of rhododendrons varied in colours of flowers and sizes depending on the elevation natively they can survive in which can be found from1000 to 3500 meter elavaion. Among them, Rhododendron Arborium that is in large size and bright red colour, is the national flower of Nepal which is in lower elavation like 1800 to 2800 meter . On all routes, you will pass by many hills, ridgelines, mani walls, alpine pastures and yak houses on the way to pikey peak with all mountain views.so,this Everest view trekking route is one of the most fascinating and thrilling routes of Nepal .  Also, you may encounter many of those birds and wild animals such as blood pheasant, mocking bird, deer, wolves, Himalayan black bear, fox, Jackals, martins and many more.

  • Day 01Arrive in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal
  • Day 02Drive to Phatanje village 9 hrs, 2300 m
  • Day 03Trek from Phatanje to Bulbule 5 hrs -3365 m
  • Day 04Trek From Bulbule to Pikey Base Camp ,5 to 6 hrs,3700 m.
  • Day 05Climp to Pikey Peak, 4067 m, and trek to Tracktor 2900m
  • Day 06Trek to Junbesi, 2700m and hike to Thupten choeling Monastery ,back to Junbesi 5 hrs
  • Day 07Trek from Junbesi to Phaplu 5 hrs
  • Day 08From Phapu to Kathmandu by flight or Bus and transfer to Hotel
  • Day 09extra day in kathmandu for shopping and sightseeing
  • Day 10Transfer to Airport for international departure

What’s Included

  • All arrival and departure from the airport to hotel and back on private cars, coach orbuses as per the group size.
  • Accommodation in tourist standard or 2-3 star class hotels on bed and breakfast basis as well in twin sharing basis rooms. (For single supplement at extra cost).
  • Domestic air flights as per the itinerary chosen, some with overland drive to reach at the start of treks and on the end, where chartered bus-cars or coach included as per group size.
  • Full board on trekking with breakfast-lunch-afternoon refreshment with dinner includes twin sharing rooms in lodge on route treks and long tours. If camping on remote areas where all meals included breakfast-lunch-afternoon refreshment with dinner includes twin sharing tents on route treks and climb.
  • Applicable Trekking Information Management Systems permits (TIMS) with Conservation or National Park permits.
  • All tour and treks accompanied by guides-staff and porters (either human or pack animals like yaks or mules), all wages, meals, accommodation, transportation facilities with Insurance against medical and accidents.
  • In some high altitude treks we provide sleeping bags and down jackets also with comprehensive medical kits carried by our guides and staff.

  • Expenses of individual nature drinks, laundry, telephone bills, gratitude and meals in city areas Kathmandu and Pokhara as per the itinerary chosen.
  • Personal Trekking-Climbing gear and equipments including down jackets-sleeping bags if not provided by the company as per the trip cost.
  • Single Supplement on hotel rooms as well on trek in lodge where clients should inform ahead on booking with extra charge on booking single private rooms where available.
  • Emergency evacuation by any means of transportations including immediate Helicopter services if required on accidents, sickness and personal problems.
  • Early return from the tour or treks due  to sickness or some other personal problems  will not be entertained with refund.However,an assistant guide and porter will be provided for the clients return trek.
