Everest View Pikey Peak Organic Camp Trek


  • Day 01 Arrive in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal

                        After going through customs, our Himalayan Gateway Trekking staff and guide will be eagerly waiting for you in order to greet with white scarf, the traditional way of sherpa culture. After a warm reception, we transfer you to your nice hotel in Kathmandu city. We proceed your hotel check in while you are taking your well-come drink. In the evening, you will have a short briefing and orientation about your trip and high-altitude sickness.

  • Day 02 Drive to Phatanje village 9 hrs, 2300 m

    For the overland journey for Phatanje village ,our entry point of trip, we will be leaving kathmandu Valley early in the morning by 5 am after we pick you up at your hotel.After that we  will drive you on BP highway in a private Jeep winding through sunkoshi River in  a stunning view of landscape and river .And,we get to Ghurmi lunch stop ,halfway through the journey,where we will have lunch before crossing the bridge.Afteward,the road starts ascending all the way up until getting to Dhap from where we veer to left on off-road,leaving  the pitched raod.It will be a  little bumpy ride for an hour until we reach to the destination,Phatanje  magar ethnic village. You dinner and tented camp will be  readily awaiting for your warm welcome.

  • Day 03 Trek from Phatanje to Bulbule 5 hrs -3365 m

    After a hearty organic breakfast in the village camp,we will warm up for 5 minuts in order to  begin our hiking.Todays hiking starts with short visiting of village community house,community hospital and high school on the way to Bulbule.After passing by the school,the trail slighly starts ascending but it is thrilling because the face of Mt Everest and Numbur Himal starts popping up as you ascend to Tadapani and Jhapre.we will have lunch in Jhapre,a small lodge place with beautiful Monastery on flat hill top.There after, the trail ascends slightly uphill entering a dense alpine forest of rhododendron and firs until getting on to the open area from where the another ridgeline starts that connects  all way to Pikey Peak.If weather favoured us,the hiking from here onwards  almost on the ridgeline is very thrilling because it is so wide open that you can freely see the Himalayas to the northern horizons and beautiful landscape and forest to the down below all day long.After hiking for couple of hrs on the flat alpine trail,passing by maniwalls  place to place ,we reach to our camp site in Bulbule which literally meainng to bubbling spring water ,the only source of drinking water supply of that area. After having tea and biscuits upon reaching,we can hike up for half an hour to the top of Bulbuley Hill  which is vantage point for sunset view of Himalayas  along with Mt .Everest.

  • Day 04 Trek From Bulbule to Pikey Base Camp ,5 to 6 hrs,3700 m.

    Today,waking up early in the morning,you can even hike around the hill to see the beautiful sunrise if interested.After breakfast ,we will be hiking  on avery easy and thrilling alpine flat trail with a nice view to both sides on pastureland until we get into the forest on rocky path.You will be seeing herds of yaks grazing on the alpine meadow along with recently renovated aged old maniwalls that you will walk by.Make sure you will be walking to the ride side of the manewalls as per Buddhist customery. After walking the unleveled rocky trail  in the alpine and rodhodendron forest,we  will be arriving at Samsung bhanjyan, to catch your  organic lunch, a small saddle-like mountain pass  where you can witness the longest Maniwall of your entire trip.After that,trail starts steep uphill halfway through  and slightly ascending all way to Base camp where we have camp stop.The view of  sunset is much better than sun rise from the top of Pikey Peak,if you have an extra stamina for walking an hour uphill  to the top,you are even recommeded to climb up to the top and wait till evening in order to watch sun set on the himalayan ranges.You can look through your binocular to see how Mt Everest is glowing on the sun set rays.

  • Day 05 Climp to Pikey Peak, 4067 m, and trek to Tracktor 2900m

    After a stomachfull breakfast and warm up,we start our journey  at 8 am ,by climbing up to the Pikey peak top that will take about one and half hour in a slow pace as we are ascending in higher elavation.Even from the uphill trail half way through the top, you can start seeing the jaw-dropping himalayan ranges  from Numbur himal to Gaurishankar in a close up view.Upon reaching on the top,you will still feel a strong wind that has been going on from early morning.But,your tiredness and chilly wind will be faded way once you see the breathtaking view of himalayas ranging all the way from Kanchenjunga to Annapurna and Dhaulagiri all in one line . You can see all four highest peaks in the world in one glance that are more than 8000 meter high.Ask your guide which one is which.

    After taking the pictures and enjoying the panoramic view of the mountains along with Mt Everest,we will descend for an hour and half all the way down and another two hours gradual uphill entering in a rhododendron and pine forest  until arriving on Jase bhanjyang,(mountain pass) where our lunch  will be waiting for us.After lunch,the trail follows a long descent to the valley through fir and more rhododendron forest until getting to Tracktor where we will  have a overnight  camp by the lovely forest.



  • Day 06 Trek to Junbesi, 2700m and hike to Thupten choeling Monastery ,back to Junbesi 5 hrs

    with loaded up organic breakfast in Tracktor,we will hike on a almost leveled path until reaching Junbesi village passing by many Mani walls and stone chortens that will take about two hrs.we have our lunch and camp here in  Junbesi-one of the most beautiful mountain village perched below the alpine rock and serene valley beside the small stream.

    After lunch,we will head out  for a half day 3-hrs round trip hiking  to the Thupten Choeling Monastery,following Junbesi stream and open alpine grassy meadow on gradual uphill  until reaching to a  small Mopung sherpa village whereby you can  pass by a beautiful white stupa.After that small sherpa village, the trail,actually motorable road, steeply climbs up all the way to Monastery yard.Thupten Choeling monastery is one of the oldest and most beautiful monasteries in the entire solukhumbu district which was built by the renown Trulsik Ringpoche in 1959 who fled from Rongbuk Monaastery of the other side of Mt Everest region of Tibet with all his followers--700 nuns and 200 monks,-- 80% of thel are all Tibetans,when China invaded Tibet.At first, he built a retreat center hoping to returning back to Tibet.However, after Tibetan lamas were forbiden to leave Tibet by the Chinese government,he thought of living permanently here .And, bought a land and constructed monastery and living quarters of his nuns and monks with the help of swiss government.Revered Trulsik Ringpoche has already obtained Nirvana and,he was buried on a meditating posture inside the main monastery built with a gold gilded Stupa  which is called now  golden stupa of Trulsik Ringboche.His reincarnated 9-year old lama boy has already taken his seat as a chief  lama  of the Monastery.

    After exploring the monastery and its invironment,we will descend back to the camp in Junbesi to have good night sleep that will take like an hour on same trail .



  • Day 07 Trek from Junbesi to Phaplu 5 hrs

    Todays journey will be moderate but will be more cultural since we will be hiking through the multiple sherpa village following Junbesi stream.Due to gravel  road constructed all the way to Junbesi from Phaplu,we will be virtually hiking on road except some dodging area unless we take a deviation to Taksindu.But,another one more day will be required for this extended route.After hiking for three hours,we reach to beautiful village called Beni,situated on the serene valley where you can see a small power house.After having lunch, the trail starts gradually ascends until getting to Phaplu by the air  port  where we will have camp for the day.

  • Day 08 From Phapu to Kathmandu by flight or Bus and transfer to Hotel

    From phaplu,as per our schedule,we will either fly to kathmandu ,which  is like a 25-minute flight over the pikey hill or drive .If you want to fly  that will  save your 10 hr driving time from Phaplu to kathmandu that you can use that time in  kathmandu for sightseeing or shopping ,making your trip shorter by a day.Its all up to you .we can customize as per your time and interest.

  • Day 09 extra day in kathmandu for shopping and sightseeing

    Today,we will leave you alone unless you want to book for half or full day sight seeing in side kathmandu valley,world heritage sites like Pashupatinath,Boudhanath,Bhaktapur Durbar square and kathmandu Durbar square.Otherwise, you can wander and explore around Thamel and its touristic vicinity for shopping by your own.

  • Day 10 Transfer to Airport for international departure

    Today,as per your schedue, you will transfered to International Airport for your home bound departure in a private vehicle after picking up from Hotel.
