Interesting to know that Tamang descendant from Mongolia and Tibet settled on the high hills and valley rims more than thousands of years, even before Kathmandu was a lake which was drain into present form long time back by saint Manjushree, the patron goddess of Kathmandu valley.

Tamang words comes from Tibetan language as Ta for horse and Mar for Red (which was later mis changed into Mang instead of Mar), originally a cavalry and a soldiers riding on Red Horse hence the name Tamang or Ta-Mar.

Migrated bringing age-old culture of Mongolian and Tibet custom and heritage which you can still find around the villages on this impressive scenic walks on Tamang Heritage Trail trekking just north from the capital Kathmandu.

Starting walks taking an exciting overland drive to reach at high cooler hills of Langtang around Rasuwa district the home of Tamang ethnic tribes of people, where walk leads to scenic trails past number of farm villages with ever present views of snow-capped mountains of Langtang and Ganesh Himal.

Tamang Heritage Trail the best of this journey is walking on quiet trail away from main flow of trekkers where walk follows off the beaten tracks on least visited areas of Langtang Himal leading to villages close to Tibet border on old trans Himalayan Salt and caravan route of Nepal and Tibet.

Impressive views and walking into dense rhododendron and pine forest to reach at major villages of Tamang at Gatlang and Tatopani (a place with hot natural spring) where you are warmly greeted in traditional way of Buddhism culture, having interesting times staying in local lodge and as in Home-Stay.

What’s Included

  • All arrival and departure from the airport to hotel and back on private cars, coach orbuses as per the group size.
  • Accommodation in tourist standard or 2-3 star class hotels on bed and breakfast basis as well in twin sharing basis rooms. (For single supplement at extra cost).
  • Domestic air flights as per the itinerary chosen, some with overland drive to reach at the start of treks and on the end, where chartered bus-cars or coach included as per group size.
  • Full board on trekking with breakfast-lunch-afternoon refreshment with dinner includes twin sharing rooms in lodge on route treks and long tours. If camping on remote areas where all meals included breakfast-lunch-afternoon refreshment with dinner includes twin sharing tents on route treks and climb.
  • Applicable Trekking Information Management Systems permits (TIMS) with Conservation or National Park permits.
  • All tour and treks accompanied by guides-staff and porters (either human or pack animals like yaks or mules), all wages, meals, accommodation, transportation facilities with Insurance against medical and accidents.
  • In some high altitude treks we provide sleeping bags and down jackets also with comprehensive medical kits carried by our guides and staff.
  • International Air-fare, Personal medical / travel insurance and Nepal visa fees.
  • Expenses of individual nature drinks, laundry, telephone bills, gratitude and meals in city areas Kathmandu and Pokhara as per the itinerary chosen.
  • Personal Trekking-Climbing gear and equipments including down jackets-sleeping bags if not provided by the company as per the trip cost.
  • Single Supplement on hotel rooms as well on trek in lodge where clients should inform ahead on booking with extra charge on booking single private rooms where available.
  • Emergency evacuation by any means of transportations including immediate Helicopter services if required on accidents, sickness and personal problems.
  • Early return from the tour or treks due  to sickness or some other personal problems  will not be entertained with refund.However,an assistant guide and porter will be provided for the clients return trek..
