Manaslu View Larke Pass Trek

  • Day 01 Arrive in kathmandu, the Capital city of Nepal

    After going through customs, our Himalayan gateway trekking staff and guide will be eagerly waiting for you in order to greet with white scarf, the traditional way of sherpa culture. after a warm reception, we transfer you to your nice hotel in Kathmandu city. We proceed your hotel check in while you are taking your well-come drink.in the evening, you will have a short briefing and orientation about your trip and high-altitude sickness.

  • Day 02 Drive from Kathmandu to Machhikhola(900m) 08 hrs drive

    we drive 7 to 8 hrs on jeep or tourist bus via Kathmandu Muglin highway. Before getting to Muglin, we will veer right to Dhading and head to Arughat where we possibly take our lunch. The road is pitched only up to Arughat, so riding will be so bumpy because of off-road all the way up to Machhikhola where we will have accommodation in a nice and cozy hotel.

  • Day 03 Trek from Machhikhola to Jagat (1370m)

    After taking our breakfast and short warm up, we start our first day of trekking that follows the Budigandadi gorge, continuing up to the river. The trail is slightly narrow at the beginning and gently heads up and down ultimately crossing Tharo khola to get to khorlabesi.After few more ascends and descends, we will arrive to small hot spring, literally meaning Tatotopani, which would be a comfortable place to take a break. From here, we climb over to one more ridge before crossing to Budi Gandaki on a suspension bridge. And, we climb up a staircase heading over to get to Doban.we climb more stone staircase even after crossing one more suspension bridge over the Yaru khola and, walk down to the river before climbing one more stone stair to Tharo Bharyang.You will have to keep an eye out that you will see nice Gurung village over the jungle. You may also come across langur monkeys, following the river and hiking uphill to get into the Jagat village.

  • Day 04 Trek from Jagat village to Pewa (1600 m)

    After taking our breakfast in Jagat village, we will make our way through various landscape and dense subtropical forest entering the Manaslu Conservation area that was established in 1998 that spreads over 1663 square kilometre harbouring hundreds of species of mammals, birds and reptiles.

  • Day 05 Trek from Pewa to Ghap (2165m)

    After having breakfast in Pewa, we will begin our trek climbing over a rocky ridge and the valley starts widening after descending. We will pass many small Gurung and tamang hamlet with millet fields.

  • Day 06 Trek from Ghap to Lho Gao (village) 3180 m.6 to 7 hrs

     After hiking 5-6 hrs mostly uphill, we will arrive to beautiful mountain village called Lho Gao. It is a bigger village of Nubri people, a descendent group of nomadic Tibetan people, from where one can see a first magnificent view of Manaslu Himal. Additionally, a great view from gompa can be observed after hiking half an hour up from here.lho Gao has several terraced barley and potatoes fields with connected old houses.

  • Day 07 Trek from Lho Gao to Sama Gao (3500m) 4-5 hrs.

     Today will have an easy walk. we take our breakfast in the morning in Lho Gao, and will start our trekking passing through Shyala village where you will be surrounded by high Himalayas like Himal Chuli, Ngadi Chuli, as well as Manaslu and huge glaciers straight ahead. you even can see the Ganesh Himal at the far end.

  • Day 08 Rest in Sama Gao for acclimatization

    Today is our acclimatization day for the Larkyala Pass. After refreshing breakfast, we may hike up to small hill beyond Sama village to find an old monastery called Pong Gen gompa from where one can see a stunning view of Mt Manaslu and glacier. Also, we walk around the village to explore thousands mani stone tablet and sherpa cultures.

  • Day 09 Trek from Sama Gao to Samdo (3875m)

    After our breakfast, we will climb up towards Buddhi Gandaki River following to a bridge. We will begin to pass by many mani walls as the valley starts to widen further more. Make sure that you will walk the mani wall clock wise as per Buddhism rule. Today, we have a very easy hiking above the river passing juniper and birch forest. It will take about 4 to 5 hours to get to Samdo to catch our lunch since there are no any hotel and lodges in between.

  • Day 10 Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala (4460m)

    After breakfast, we start hiking slight uphill passing through a Tibetan seasonal market called Larke bazar and cross Budi Gandaki River. As we are gradually ascending everyday towards Larkya la Pass, we are going to have to make shorter walking distance about 4 hrs. We will see many small monasteries and mani walls on the way to Dharamsala

  • Day 11 Trek from Dharamsala to Bhim Thang crossing Larkya la pass (5160)

      Todays is our most challenging and long hiking big day of the entire trip because it will take almost 10 hrs to get to the Bhim Thang, the other side of the Manaslu, crossing Larkya la pass which is 5106 m high. After taking a cup of hot tea or coffee in the morning ,loaded with heavy pack lunch, we start our mountain journey early in the morning before the crack of dawn. The trails are slightly uphill with lots of rocks and moraines which will take almost 6 hours to get to the top of the Pass. You can take a bite of your pack lunch whenever you will feel hungry to energise your body and muscle. Take lots of drinks as possible as you can in order to keep you hydrated. It will be a good idea to save your few pieces of energy bars especially for today to take a bite while climbing this pass.

    you will be amazed with the magnificent views of border mountains like, Him lung Himal, Cheo and Gyala peak in short range. once you are on the top of the pass, you will be stunned with the mind-boggling back drop of Larkya peak that no one will miss out to get a picture taken. After taking picture, we will be descending all the way to Bhim Thang for 3 hrs

  • Day 12 Trek from Bhim Thang to Tillie.

    After hearty breakfast in Bhim Thang, we will slightly climb down through Dudh khola, (literally milk stream) all the way down to Tilije, small hamlet of Gurung tribes.

  • Day 13 Drive from Tillie to Kathmandu overland journey 10 hrs

    we will ride on local four-wheel jeep down to Beshi Shahar. Then, from Beshi Shahar to Kathmandu by tourist bus that will be 8 hrs in total. 

  • Day 14 Extra day in Kathmandu for sightseeing and shopping

    Today, we will  go for half day sightseeing for world heritage sites of all three cities.And, afternoon free for shopping if you would like to book for that sight seeing too.

  • Day 15 Transfer to International airport for departure for homeland bound
  • Day 1 Kathmandu sight seeing ,trekking permit preparation

    Today, we will have sight seeing to all seven world heritage sites and trekking preparation
